Description
The Arduino Pro Micro is a microcontroller board based on the ATMEGA32U4. The USB functionality allows the Pro Micro to connect directly to USB, so it can be programmed without the use of a USB bridge (e.g. FT232). It can also authenticate with the computer as a human interface device (HID) like a keyboard or mouse, which lets you build a new way to interface with your computer. It has 18 GPIOs (of which 5 can be used as PWM outputs), 9 analog channels, UART, TWI, and SPI. The board contains everything needed to run the microcontroller including voltage regulation, an on-board resonator, a reset button, and holes for mounting header pins or soldering directly to your project. This version of the Pro Micro runs at 5V and 16Mhz. The Arduino Pro Micro is intended for use on a breadboard or in a permanent installation. The board comes without pre-mounted headers, allowing the use of various types of connectors or direct soldering of wires.
